Made-to-measure curtains and blinds in JVC
Jumeirah Village Circle is mostly mid-rise buildings, a lot of studios and one-bedrooms, and a very high proportion of units bought to rent out rather than to live in. That changes what makes sense here.
If you are living in it
JVC buildings are lower than the towers in Marina or Business Bay, which means you are often looking straight into the building opposite at the same height rather than down at a view. Privacy matters more here than glare does.
The practical answer is usually a sheer plus blackout double layer in the bedroom and living room, and a roller or zebra blind in the kitchen and bathroom where fabric would collect cooking grease and damp. We will tell you where the cheaper option is the better one.
If you are renting it out
This is where most JVC owners get it wrong. Curtains in a rented unit take far more punishment than curtains in your own home — tenants pull them hard, guests spill on them, and cleaning companies wash them incorrectly.
For rentals we recommend spending less on fabric and more on the track and the fixings, because the track is what fails and what costs you a callout. A cheap fabric on a good track outlasts an expensive fabric on a cheap one, every time.
We also keep your window dimensions on file permanently. When a tenant damages one panel two years from now, you message us and we replace that one panel — no new measurement, no full re-do.
What it costs in JVC
JVC windows are generally smaller than the tower stock elsewhere in Dubai, so prices sit at the lower end of our ranges.

A word about the cheapest quote you will get
JVC is a price-sensitive area and you will be quoted AED 45 or AED 120 per square metre by several companies. Ask each of them five questions: does that include making charges, lining, the track, the fixings, and the fitting? In most cases the answer is no to at least three of them.
We quote the finished window instead. It is harder to compare against a per-metre rate, which is exactly the point — you would not be comparing the same thing.
Landlords with several units
