Marina is one of the oldest tower communities in new Dubai, and that changes the work. Much of what we do here is not first-time fitting — it is replacing curtains that have been up for eight or ten years, in buildings where the sun and the sea air have done their work.
What is specific to the Marina
Sun-faded fabric is the signature problem
Walk through any older Marina tower and you will see it from outside: curtains with one edge several shades lighter than the rest. West-facing units take reflected afternoon light off the water and the towers opposite, and it fades fabric faster than almost anywhere in Dubai. When we quote replacement here, we spec UV-resistant fabric on the west and south-west windows — and we will show you the difference against your existing panels in your own light.
Old tracks are usually the second problem
A surprising amount of “my curtains don’t close properly” in the Marina is not the fabric at all — it is a ten-year-old track with worn gliders. Sometimes the honest answer is a new track under your existing curtains, at a fraction of the cost of a full replacement. We will tell you when that is the case.
Night privacy across the water
Marina towers face each other across the water at the same heights. Sheers alone are daytime privacy only — after dark, a lit room behind a sheer is fully visible from the towers opposite. Most Marina apartments need the sheer plus blackout double layer.
