It is heavier, quieter and softer to look at, and holds its shape in humidity. Wider slats do the opposite: a clearer view when tilted open, fewer surfaces to wipe, and a deeper stack sitting above the glass when the blind is raised.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA small window usually takes a narrow slat; a wide one throws the proportions out. Every slat is a horizontal ledge and Dubai dust settles on all of them. A venetian holds dust in a way a flat fabric blind does not.
